Used for sealing / seaming a buildings insulation or "housewrap" weather barrier, effectively keeping water and air locked out. Utitlizing House Wrap Seaming Tape on the weather barrier contributes to energy efficiency by helping to seal the building envelope, which controls air flow and water intrusion in the wall assembly. Ideal for sealing cold and hot air ducts, weather barriers, and insulation seams Indoor/outdoor use Extreme Temperature range -65F degrees to 200F degrees Resistant to moisture, weather, UV degradation and chemical wear Effectively creates water and vapor barriers Housewrap Sheathing Tape: Most commonly used to seam weather barriers such as Prime Wrap, Tyvek HomeWrap, and all other major housewraps. Also used in HVAC sealing and repair jobs, Sheathing tape has a flexible backing consisting of white polypropolene. The pressure sensitive rubber adhesive easily forms and adheres to a variety of smooth or slightly irregular surfaces. It is incredibly durable and long lasting as it is resistant to flame, moisture, weather, UV degradation, and some chemicals. The permanent acrylic adhesive and polypropolene backing create a strong seal that forms a moisture and vapor barrier increasing energy conservation. Please NOTE: Surfaces should be as clean, dust free, and dry as possible before application. While the surface of the tape is moisture resistant the adhesive is not. Press firmly into place.
