Product Features
- SAFTY & RELIABLE The interlock kit is a device that manages power to a switchboard. The interlock ensures that the generator breaker and main breaker cannot be closed at the same time. Interlocks ensure the safety of anyone working on the wires and prevent dangerous electrical feedback within the building.
- APPLICABLE ENVIRONMENT Compatible with Cutler Hammer Horizontal Main 150 and 200 AMP Panels. 1 1/2 Inch Spacing between main breaker and generator breaker.
- PACKAGE CONTENT 1x generator interlock plate and various accessories (instructions included). It is recommended to ask a professional for installation to prevent any accidents.
- EMERGENCY MEASURES The interlock is manually operated. In residential or light commercial use, the interlock switch is moved from the mains circuit breaker to the generator circuit breaker when utility power is lost. The main breaker and all other breakers must be closed, the interlock switch set to the generator, and the generator engaged. Turn on the main breaker to energize the panel, then turn on individual breakers as needed.
- EASY OPERATION Interlock switches are generally less complex and therefore less expensive than automatic transfer switches. Interlock switches are typically used in residential and small commercial applications that do not require continuous power. They are simple to operate, but may require additional power management to close circuit breakers for circuits that exceed generator capacity.
