- D3 BASKING LAMP - The Arcadia 2nd Generation D3 UV 160w Basking Lamp provides UVB, UVA visible light and heat so there is no need for a separate UV and heat source! This D3 Basking Lamp can be used for many species of reptiles including Bearded Dragons, Tortoises and Iguanids.
- MULTIPLE BENEFITS - Heat is important for reptiles to be able to function, reproduce and maintain a healthy immune system. This basking lamp produces UV-B which aids the synthesis of Vitamin D3 and helps to prevent metabolic bone disease. The lamp also produces UVA which regulates the D3 cycles, activates colour vision and can help to increase feeding, mating, and other natural behaviours.
- INSTALLATION - The Arcadia D3 Basking Lamp is designed for use above a large well-ventilated vivaria. We suggest a minimum width of 60cm (24") and length of 100-120cm to ensure there is an adequate temperature gradient and cool area.
- FOR BEST RESULTS - To allow for accurate regulation without needing to raise or lower the Basking Lamp, combine with a species appropriate linear T5 UV system. The Arcadia Halogen Basking Flood Lamp should also be connected to an appropriate thermostat.
- UV EXPOSURE - Both reptiles and amphibians need both UVB and UVA light to live healthy lifestyles. To ensure safe UV exposure, the minimum distance from lamp to reptile is 30cm (12"). We recommend a minimum vivarium height of around 50-60cm (20"-24").
