Installation: Remove the original antenna mast,You need as much vertical orientation as you can get if using a pair of needle nose pliers to remove the three slot chrome ring 1.Insert the plier legs into two of the three slots, and go slow.Loosen but do not remove the chrome ring 2.While holding the antenna mast to keep the base from falling into the fender well, slide the unscrewed chrome ring and the original plastic mount up and over the antenna mast 3.Clean up the paint around the antenna base 4.Slide the new antenna adapter base and chrome ring over the antenna down to the threaded antenna base. Reinstall the chrome ring by hand.Don't use the pliers until it is finger tigh 5.Remove the antenna mast again so you can get vertical with the needle nose pliers to tighten the ring.Don't over tighten!Just snug it down; again, incrementally
