- FEATURING TWO MODELS - The Magnetochromic Olive Film and the Monochromic Green Film. The magnetochromic model uses a more expensive laboratory technique to produce vivid multi-colors when exposed to a strong magnetic field. The monochromic model is a cost-effective way of viewing the same magnetic field but lacks color depth and will only display in shades of green.
- MAGNETOCHROMIC OLIVE FILM - This new technology encapsulates microscopic droplets of paramagnetic Fe3O4 particles suspended in a liquid solution within a thin plastic film to create the magnetochromic magnetic field viewing screen. When exposed to a strengthening magnetic field, these particles organize into chains that diffract light and cause the solution to change color from brown to red, yellow, green, and then blue. This enhances the visualization of the magnetic fields in vivid colors.
- MONOCHROMATIC GREEN FILM - These translucent thin flexible sheets are coated with micro-capsules containing nickel flakes suspended in oil. When exposed to a strong magnetic field parallel to the surface of the carrier film, the surface of the flakes are reflective and appears bright. When lines of force are perpendicular to the film, the flakes are edge-on and appear significantly darker. When the film is placed on a magnet's pole, the latter case applies.
- REUSE, RESET, SIZE & LAMINATION OPTIONS - Both films are reusable, but the olive film will have a much longer shelf life than the green film. The olive film automatically resets itself, while the green film may need to be reset by quickly swiping a magnet parallel to the film several times. These products are offered in various sizes that best suit your needs and some offers will have options of without lamination or with lamination for increased durability and protection of the film.
