Instruction: How to Put on and Adjust Your Dog Harness Step 1: Put the dog's head into the chest strap with the buckle unfastened. Arrange the bottom straps between the two front legs, under the belly. Then fasten the quick release buckles. Step 2: Use the 4 adjusting straps ( 2 neck straps, 2 chest straps) to adjust the dog harness. Slide the adjuster and pull/push the straps through the adjuster to create a good fit. Step 3: Adjust the tightness to the proper size according to the dog's neck circumference. Step 4: Remember 2-finger rule: after adjustment, the harness should fit tight enough but loose enough for you to fit two fingers (and only two fingers) between the harness and your dog at any point.
