43MM/1.5” DEMOUNTABLE COUPLING (BLACK) This demountable coupling has been designed to work in conjunction with 43mm solvent weld pipe (please view our pipe identification chart for finding your correct pipe size). Comes supplied with the demountable coupling body, retaining nut, socket and sealing “O” ring. What is a Demountable Coupling? Demountable Couplings are used when the need for line equipment (such as UV, pump, filter supply etc) needs to be removed for maintenance or cleaning. Once the chosen fittings/rigid pipe have been installed to the demountable coupling, simply align the male (demountable coupling body) and the female (retaining nut) threads together and tighten down. Once tightened the heavy duty E.D.P.M sealing washer will make a superb watertight seal. Demountable couplings are quick and easy to use, making them perfect for any job where regular maintenance or cleaning needs to be carried out. This demountable coupling has been designed like a socket/joining bush, allowing for rigid pipe to be solvent welded internally on both the demountable coupling body and the socket. Our demountable couplings are solvent weld. Always use a non-toxic sealant when fitting this product. Please view the Demountable Coupling Chart for more information on dimensions. PLEASE READ BEFORE PURCHASING Before purchasing any demountable coupling make sure you have double checked the outside diameter of your rigid pipe. In some case the pipe can be wrongly labelled and can be misleading. Please note: The size of the demountable coupling is gauged by what Dia (mm) rigid pipe it works with. For example, a 50mm threaded tank connector will fit 50mm OD of rigid pipework. The size of the thread has no relevance to the size of tank connector that is being advertised.
