作者简介万志英（Richard von Glahn），著名汉学家，美国加州大学洛杉矶分校历史学教授，耶鲁大学博士，主要研究10～18世纪的中国经济社会史、全球经济史、东亚海洋史。编有《中国史上的宋元明过渡》（The Song-Yuan-Ming Transition in Chinese History），著有《财源:1000~1700年的中国货币与货币政策》（Fountain of Fortune: Money and Monetary Policy in China, 1000-1700）、《从古代到十九世纪的中国经济史》（The Economic History of China from Antiquity to the Nineteenth Century）等。译者简介廖涵缤，北京外国语大学英语语言与文学专业文学学士，牛津大学社会人类学哲学硕士
