During the test, let the hydrometer slowly fill with water to prevent air bubbles from adhering to the pointer. (2)When the water is full and level with the top of the baffle, take out the hydrometer and place it on a level surface. (3)Air bubbles attached to the pointer will cause inaccurate readings, tap the hydrometer carefully to shake out the attached bubbles. (4)Read the specific gravity according to the inner scale, and read the salinity (ppt) according to the outer scale. It is more suitable for the specific gravity to be between 1.020-1.023. (5)Rinse with clean water after each use. 3)NoteBefore using the hydrometer for the first time, fill it with warm water and detergent to clean the internal surface oil stains, which can make the accuracy higher.Please rinse with clean water after use. If the salt crystallizes in the hydrometer, soak the hydrometer in warm water or vinegar for 30 minutes, then rinse with water and air dry.
