These lamps are all internally ballasted and should always be used in ceramic/porcelain E27 sockets. Legal Disclaimer Only intended for use in terraria or other animal enclosures, not for regular household use. Always use a ceramic E27 socket. Our bulbs are packed in fitting styrofoam inside a cardboard box. like any other lamp or bulb would be transported. We try to reduce shock and / or impact to the bulb as much as possible during internal transport and transport to the amazon fulfillment center.
