Pond treatment that eradicates blanket weed STOP Blanketweed is an effective treatment of filamentous algae, commonly known as blanket weed in ornamental and garden ponds. Blanket weed is one of the most hated problems of pond keeping and a nuisance to everyone as it makes your pond unsightly and blocks filters, pumps and pipes. STOP Blanketweed is a unique product which will successfully eradicate blanket weed when used as instructed. Statutory Conditions of Approval Relating to Use: FOR USE ONLY AS AN AQUATIC ALGICIDE. To treat your pond with Stop Blanketweed, first calculate the amount of water in your pond. Apply 30 grams (one scoop) of powder per 90 litres / 198 gallons. Mix the powder thoroughly with pond water in a suitable clean container. Now distribute this mixture evenly over the pond surface. Add this dose once per week until the blanket weed has gone, usually after 3 weeks. One or two additional doses may be needed in some ponds. Continue to dose once a month to prevent the blanket weed returning. If water temperature is below 8C, treatment efficiency is reduced. Users must comply in full with all their legal responsibilities under the Control of Pesticides Regulations (as amended), including complying with Conditions of Approval. IMPORTANT: Powder concentrate. Contains monolinuron 0.49 percent w/w. To avoid risks to man and the environment comply with the instructions for use. This material and its container must be disposed of in a safe way. DO NOT CONTAMINATE FOODSTUFFS, EATING UTENSILS OR FOOD CONTACT SURFACES. Do not contaminate watercourses with chemicals or used container. NOT FOR USE IN ORNAMENTAL PONDS WHEN FROGS / TOADS ARE SPAWNING. WASH HANDS AND EXPOSED SKIN before meals and after use. KEEP IN A SAFE PLACE. NOT FOR USE IN WILDLIFE PONDS. Keep out of reach of children. If swallowed seek medical advice. Wash any contamination from eyes immediately.
