Instructions for Use and Maintenance Shy pets may be a little nervous when they first see Whistling Dixies Pet Grooming Gloves, so we recommend the following to ensure acceptance: 1. Remove the gloves from packaging and introduce them to your pet prior to putting them on, allowing your pet the chance to smell and get used to them 2. Put one glove on your preferred hand and whilst giving your pet a treat from the other hand, gently stroke your pet, making sure to stroke in the direction that the fur lies 3. If your pet is extremely nervous of the gloves, try feeding treats from the gloved hand until the pet accepts that the gloves are non-threatening and then commence stroking with the gloved hand4. Once accepted, groom your pet in the direction the fur lays, using caution whilst grooming around eyes and any sensitive areas 5. Over time, the gloves may become encrusted with dirt and the natural oils from your pets fur, losing some of their ability to remove the loose hair from your pet. Wash the gloves either by hand, or in the washing machine on a 40c wash, using a mild detergent, then squeeze excess water out and allow to air dry 6. If used during shampooing, small circular motions may be used to work the shampoo in and invigorate your pets coat. Rinse gloves after use, squeeze out excess water and allow to air dry same as you would if you had just washed the gloves
